Our Story
Established in 1985 by John Varty. J.H. Varty Machinery Ltd. started selling new & used industrial machinery in the Barrie and surrounding areas.
Peter Varty joined his father in 1996 and has become an integral part of the company and it’s future. Business has steadily increased and we moved to our new and improved location in March 2011.
We are proud to have the largest machinery and industrial supply showroom north of Toronto and we have expanded our trading areas as far as Sudbury and North Bay as well as south, to the Newmarket area. We have also sold equipment and supplies to various customers from the east coast to the west coast of Canada. To compliment our machinery, we specialize in a large stock of machine shop items, cutting tools, indexable carbides, CNC tooling and safety supplies.
